John Day was one of the richest and most famous orchid growers in Europe. His collection of watercolor and ink illustrations now form one of the most important botanical archives in the world. The Day archive is used daily by scientists and horticulturists at The Royal Collection, Kew, London, but until now, the entire collection has never before been published.
